According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, passenger car sales in China grew by 1.4% in 2017, reaching a historic high of 24.7 million units.

Even with the slowdown in the automotive market, the Chinese government continues to increase taxes on the purchase of new cars. This policy, aimed at curbing sales, is primarily driven by the authorities' desire to improve the environmental situation in large cities.

However, industry experts believe that such measures will not be able to stop the growth of car sales in China, and in 2018, a new record will likely be set, facilitated by provinces in the country's interior regions.
