These figures are provided by the Ukrautoprom Association. It is reported that registrations of used cars surpassed the new car market by almost 5.6 times. At the same time, the growth compared to July last year for the registration of cars with mileage from abroad amounted to 59%.
From the note of Ukrautoprom it follows that last month Ukrainians cleared the most old Volkswagens – 9.2 thousand units. The bestseller was the Volkswagen Passat model – it accounted for 3.3 thousand registrations.
In second place were Ford cars – 4.7 thousand cleared used cars. And the third and fifth places were divided as follows:
- Renault — 4.2 thousand units;
- Skoda — 3.6 thousand units;
- Opel — 3.5 thousand units.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 250 thousand used cars have received Ukrainian registration (4.3 times more than new cars), which is 44% more than last year's figure.
Note that the period of preferential customs clearance of "euro plates" began on June 15. It is designed for 180 days.
