The Ukrautoprom Association has published data according to which SUVs and crossovers accounted for three quarters of the new car market in 2021.
In the first five months of this year, Ukrainians purchased 39.6 thousand cars — a third more than in the same period a year earlier. At the same time, May accounted for 8.5 thousand sales.
The leader of the Ukrainian market remains the Toyota RAV4 crossover: since the beginning of the year, 2,586 such cars have been sold. In second place is the Kia Sportage with 2,235 cars sold, and bronze went to the Renault Duster — 2,110 units. Next come the Renault Sandero (1,207 units) and Renault Logan (1,134).
