Nissan plant in England
Production of the new Qashqai has been established at the Nissan plant in Sunderland, UK. This facility is already 35 years old, and for the last 14 years, the Qashqai has been produced here. However, launching the new model cannot be called simple or easy: the company had to thoroughly modernize the assembly site, investing 400 million pounds sterling (465.5 million euros at the current exchange rate) in it. In particular, 117 new robots were installed in the body shop, which work with aluminum and high-strength steel – those components used in the new Qashqai.

Currently, the English Nissan plant has already produced over 3.5 million Nissan Qashqai units. The enterprise is proud that this model has become the most mass-produced British car.
Nissan Qashqai 2021
New Qashqai is in every respect a European car. And it's not just about the production location: here, in the Old World, the crossover was also developed (though with predecessors – the same story). With the change of generations, the car has changed in design, grown in size, and moved a step forward in terms of equipment. It has also become 60 kg lighter (thanks to aluminum body panels).

Dimensions of the Nissan Qashqai 2021 are 4425 x 1838 x 1635 mm (+35, +32, and +10 mm respectively), wheelbase size is 2666 mm (+20 mm). In terms of design, the car has become more angular, with a more characteristic radiator grille and ultra-thin optics at the front. On board, there is more space, and on the front panel, a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen of the NissanConnect media system have appeared. The trunk volume has increased by 50 liters.

The engines of the Nissan Qashqai are exclusively gasoline, diesels are not provided in principle. There is also an e-Power hybrid setup. The internal combustion engines are represented by a 1.3-liter engine available in two power outputs – 140 and 160 hp. The first option comes only with front-wheel drive and a manual transmission, the second – with a 4x4 system, manual transmission, or CVT. As for the hybrid, the main role is played by a 190-hp electric motor, while the 1.5-liter 157-hp gasoline unit is assigned the role of a generator – it only generates electricity.

The car's equipment includes the proprietary assistant system (read: partial autopilot) ProPilot.
You can buy Nissan Qashqai 2021 later this year. In total, buyers will be offered 11 body color options and 5 two-tone combinations.
