During 2020, 531.4 thousand units of vehicles were imported into Ukraine, with a total value exceeding 4.2 billion dollars. Of these, 486.3 thousand were passenger cars, valued at 3.5 billion dollars.
The volume of commercial vehicle imports decreased by 16% to 43.5 thousand units, and their total price reached 717.4 million dollars. Additionally, 1.6 thousand buses were imported, which is 35% less than the previous year's figure; 64.1 million dollars were spent on them.
Germany remains the main supplier of cars. During the specified period, 99,772 passenger cars worth 548.1 million dollars arrived from there.
From Germany, 9,589 trucks were imported, with a total cost of 114 million dollars. Most buses also had German origin — 568 units, but the largest expenditures were on Belarusian vehicles: 38.6 million dollars for 307 units. This difference is explained by the fact that new buses were purchased in Belarus, while used ones were imported from Germany.
