The March figure was 28% higher than in February, but compared to March last year, the volume of automobile production in Ukraine fell by more than 46%.

The Eurocar plant, which still shapes all statistics in the passenger car segment, reduced output in March by 44%, to 246 cars. At the same time, compared to February, the enterprise showed growth — plus 68.5%.

The output of commercial vehicles (excluding AutoKrAZ, which since August 2016 has stopped publishing data on its production) remained at the February level — 2 units, which is 2 less than in March last year. Both vehicles rolled off the assembly line of the Cherkasy Bus.

In addition, in March, Ukrainian enterprises produced 40 buses, which is 55% less than last year's result and 48% less than in the previous month.

Overall, in the first quarter of this year, Ukraine assembled 1,365 vehicles, which is almost 22% less compared to the same period in 2019.

Passenger cars — 1,179 units (-22%);

Commercial vehicles — 12 units (-14%);

Buses — 174 units (-21%).
