As observers suggest, the X8 M index will be given to the premium modification of the top-end X7 SUV. Such a car will feature a four-seat cabin with exquisite design. Under the hood of the BMW X8 M will be a twin-turbo V8 developing 600 horsepower.
The exterior of the new model is unlikely to change much compared to the X7, and coupe-like features will be weakly expressed. The main differences are more expensive interior trim, a fuller set of options, and separate seats for second-row passengers.
There is clearly no hope for the appearance of a V12. The optimal option is the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, familiar from the X7 M50i and X5 M. In the first case, the 'eight' develops 530 horsepower, in the second — 600 or 625 horsepower.
