In the first month of the year, TOYOTA cars turned out to be the most popular on the Ukrainian market — 1,207 units were registered. Compared to January last year, sales of new Toyotas in our country rose by 91%, thanks to which the Japanese brand moved from the second line of the top to the first.

But last year's January leader — RENAULT — with a growth of 31% still conceded one position and ended the month with a figure of 1,055 cars.

NISSAN held the third position: its registrations added almost a quarter and reached 529 units.

Czech SKODA, which a year ago closed the top five, increased sales by 37% — to 466 cars — and rose to the fourth line.

Interest in KIA cars grew by 12%. This was not enough to keep the fourth place for the brand, but 436 registered cars provided it with the fifth position with a margin.

The top ten for January 2020 also included: HYUNDAI — 362 cars (+8%); VOLKSWAGEN — 323 cars (+18%); MERCEDES-BENZ — 269 cars (+84%); PEUGEOT — 264 cars (+144%); MITSUBISHI — 235 cars (+33%).

At the end of the month, the title of the best-selling model on the Ukrainian market of new passenger cars was won by TOYOTA RAV-4. This compact crossover was chosen by 513 buyers in January.
