At the end of the year, sales of passenger electric vehicles rose by about a third, and commercial ones by 1.5 times.

As before, the bulk of the Ukrainian market for zero-emission vehicles consists of used cars: in 2019, they accounted for 92% in the passenger segment and 96% in the commercial one.

The average age of such used electric vehicles registered last year was four years for passenger cars and six years for commercial models.

The leader among electric cars among Ukrainians remains NISSAN Leaf: over the year, the country's fleet was replenished with 3,217 such cars.

The second place is occupied by TESLA Model S — 623 drivers chose it.

The third place goes to VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf, which was purchased by 360 people.

The top five popular passenger electric vehicles also include BMW i3 — 338 units and FIAT 500e — 312 units.

Among new electric cars, the best indicator is for JAGUAR I-Pace: 145 buyers chose it.

In the commercial electric transport segment, the RENAULT Kangoo Z.E. van dominated unconditionally — 482 registrations over the year.

The second result, far behind the leader, was shown by NISSAN e-NV200: 29 such cars received Ukrainian license plates last year.

The top three most sought-after commercial electric vehicles are rounded out by PEUGEOT Partner Electric — 7 units.
