Compared to the same month last year, the number of registrations of imported used cars increased 2.26 times — by 126%. Their share in the primary market grew from 60% to 76%.
The leader among used cars was the Volkswagen Passat. In September, Ukrainians imported and registered 1,460 such cars.
The second position was taken by the Renault Megane — 1,315 cars of this model changed their license plates to Ukrainian ones.
The third place went to the Skoda Octavia: 1,203 units were cleared through customs and registered.
Next on the list is the Volkswagen Golf with 912 registrations.
The top five is rounded out by the Ford Focus — 798 cars.
Since the beginning of the year, 321.6 thousand imported used passenger cars have received Ukrainian registration. This is 4.5 times more than in the same period last year.
For comparison: the market for new passenger cars over the same period amounted to only 61.7 thousand units.
