According to the British publication Auto Express, the German automaker is working on a four-door coupe that will fill the niche between the A5 Sportback and A7 Sportback models.

As noted in the publication, the new model will be built on the new modular PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, which Audi engineers are developing jointly with colleagues from Porsche. This platform, unlike the base used in the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT, has broader adaptation capabilities and allows for the creation of vehicles with various body styles, including sedans and SUVs.

Currently, the Ingolstadt-based company's model lineup includes the electric crossover e-tron. The powertrain, consisting of a pair of motors, develops a total power of 408 hp. Thanks to this, the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The range is provided by a 95 kWh battery, which is enough for 400 kilometers of travel without recharging.
