The leader in sales last month was Renault, whose result exceeded last year's by 65 percent. In September, 1,153 new passenger cars of this brand hit Ukrainian roads.

The second position was taken by Toyota, whose sales in Ukraine in September grew by 15% and amounted to 1,059 cars.

The third place in the ranking was secured by Kia — demand for its models increased by 43%, to 624 units.

In fourth place was Hyundai — 477 new cars, which is 17% more than in September 2018.

Skoda closes the top five with a result of 403 cars (+8%).

The top ten best-selling brands also included: Volkswagen — 355 units (-29%); Nissan — 348 units (-13%); Suzuki — 253 units (-2%); BMW — 213 units (+14%); Seat — 197 units (+286%).

The most popular car of the month was the Kia Sportage — 550 buyers chose this compact crossover in September.

Overall, in the first three quarters of 2019, Ukrainians bought and registered 61.7 thousand new passenger cars, which is 2% more than in the same period last year.
