Last August, as in the same period a year earlier, turned out to be completely dependent on the large-knockdown assembly of Skoda cars at the facilities of Eurocar. During the month, the enterprise produced 553 cars — this is a third more compared to August 2018.
As for commercial vehicles (the statistics do not include AvtoKrAZ, which since August 2016 has stopped publishing data on its production), here volumes increased from one car to 34. In the last month of summer, such cars were assembled at Cherkasy Bus and ZAZ: 26 and 8 units, respectively.
Bus production in August jumped by 45% — to 81 units.
At the same time, the leader in bus production, as in the previous year, remained Cherkasy Bus — 35 vehicles. Bohdan reported 19 buses, Chernihiv Automobile Plant finished the month with 16 units, Chasiv Yar Plant produced 6 vehicles, and another 5 at ZAZ.
Despite a successful August, the overall result for the year is still inferior to last year's figures. Since the beginning of 2019, 4,230 vehicles have been assembled in Ukraine — this is 7% less than in the first eight months of the previous year.
Passenger cars produced: 3,619 units (−7.5%);
Commercial — 80 units (−30%);
Buses — 531 units (+3%).
