The new product is based on the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 that is already familiar from the limited series of the Pista supercar. The engine produces the same 720 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque, which is 50 horsepower and 10 Nm more than the unit of the previous model. The engine is paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is equipped with a rigid folding roof of two sections, which automatically retracts or raises in 14 seconds while the speed does not exceed 45 km/h. The electric drive of the mechanism and the reinforced chassis made it possible to make the roadster 70 kg lighter than the coupe. At the same time, the car turned out to be 20 kg lighter than its ideological predecessor — the 488 Spider model.

Like the closed-body version, the F8 Spider accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds (0.1 seconds faster than the 488 GTB), and to 200 km/h in 7.8 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the 488 GTB). The maximum speed of the supercar reaches 340 km/h, which is 10 km/h higher than the predecessor's figure.
