Although the April figure exceeded last year's by 1%, stopping at 6.9 thousand cars, it still yielded to the March result. March with its 7.3 thousand new passenger cars remains the most successful month this year.
The past month was the most successful for the Renault brand. Demand for these cars jumped by almost two-thirds, reaching 1,114 registered units.
Toyota followed, increasing its sales by 13% to 963 new cars.
The top three was closed by Kia, which sold 638 cars, more than double the April 2018 figures.
Skoda took fourth place with a result of 553 cars, showing a growth of 44%.
Nissan rounds out the top five. This brand increased sales by 4%, bringing them to 424 units.
In addition, the top ten in April included: Hyundai — 378 cars (14% less), Suzuki — 265 cars (growth of 50%), Volkswagen — 237 cars (drop of 61%), BMW — 208 units (+38%) and Mazda — 204 cars (-31%).
The most popular model of the month was again the Kia Sportage, which was chosen by 527 buyers.
