Head of the Kyiv City State Administration apparatus Volodymyr Bondarenko said at a briefing that out of the total number of identified objects, only 31 gas modules were removed by municipal services, while the rest were dismantled by owners themselves.
“From March 25 to April 10, 236 illegal gas filling stations were removed in the capital: 205 of them were dismantled by owners themselves, and 31 by the city. Another 55 illegal filling modules are planned to be removed in the next 10 days,” Bondarenko noted.
The official explained that the remaining objects pose a lesser threat, as the most dangerous points were eliminated first.
In total, the Kyiv City State Administration's list for dismantling includes more than 370 gas filling stations that require inspection. The current wave of demolition has been the most effective in the past two years of combating illegal fuel sales in the capital.
