As Kherson media report, the owner of the plant, Viktor Postelnikov, came to sign a memorandum with the mayor of Kherson. According to the mayor, the car assembly plant will create 200 jobs.

However, no specific timelines for resuming production were announced. It is also not entirely clear what they plan to produce at the "Vipos" plant in Kherson. As AUTO-Consulting notes, the "Vipos" automobile plant is the most mysterious enterprise in the Ukrainian automotive industry. It assembled 190 Audi cars using the large-knot assembly method, after which assembly of this brand was discontinued.

Then there was a loud announcement about the start of production in Kherson of cars under their own brand Ostcar, but they never appeared on the market.

There were also attempts to launch assembly of Chinese models Fuqi, Baw, Brilliance in Kherson. But due to low demand, these projects remained on paper.
