We are talking about a 900-horsepower electric car created by the American company Atieva. The premium sedan is designed to compete with the Tesla Model S. The all-wheel-drive vehicle has one electric motor on each axle and a set of lithium-ion batteries.
According to the manufacturer, the new product can accelerate from zero to 96 kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds. The electric sedan project is known under the name Project Cosmos. A distinctive feature of the model will be "ultra-thin" headlights with thousands of microscopic "insect-like" lenses, as well as a large display in the cabin.

According to preliminary data, production of the sedan will begin in 2018, and in 2020 or 2021 the company's lineup will be joined by two premium electric crossovers.
Recall that Atieva was founded in 2007. The company is headed by former Tesla Motors board member Bernard Tse and former chief engineer of the Tesla Model S project, Peter Rawlinson. Among the main investors of the company are Japanese and Chinese firms.
