The press service of UkrAvto corporation, which holds a controlling stake in the enterprise, reported that the Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant is reorienting to the production of export car kits.
"This year we plan to limit ourselves to producing only kits for the Egyptian plant of General Motors — we are talking about approximately 16 thousand units," the company clarified.
It should be added that there is currently only one enterprise in the country engaged in the assembly of passenger cars — the Eurocar plant. However, things are not going well there either: the capacities allow producing significantly more cars than are currently being manufactured.
