In fact, we are talking about cars that have been in use for more than 5 years. This decision will be made within the framework of the signed association with the European Union. This was stated by the CEO of the All-Ukrainian Association of Automobile Importers and Dealers (UAAID) Oleh Nazarenko.

According to him, with the signing of the agreement with the EU, Ukraine has committed to banning the import of vehicles that do not meet the Euro-5 standard, which was introduced in European countries back in 2009, starting next year. Thus, from 2016, the import of cars older than 5 years will cease in Ukraine.

Nazarenko emphasized that it is no longer possible to cancel this law, since "we signed these conditions in the agreement with the EU."
