Let us remind you that drag racing usually takes place over a distance of ¼ mile (402 meters). The essence of the sprint is to be the first to reach the finish. Although today, for many it is also important to set a record for maximum speed and time to cover the distance.

Of course, such competitions are unsafe on public roads, so the development of "drag" as an official motorsport is extremely important. Drag racing allows speed enthusiasts to let off steam on prepared tracks, which in turn has a positive effect on accident statistics. After all, participants of such races, when going out on public roads, no longer organize street races.
