The State Statistics Committee of Ukraine reports a decrease in fuel consumption. In particular, according to the results of October 2014, gasoline sales at gas stations decreased by 23% (compared to October 2013), diesel – by 15%. It is worth noting that the statistics were collected without taking into account Crimea.

Of course, one cannot forget about the situation in the east of Ukraine, but in any case, the decrease in fuel demand indicates one thing – Ukrainians are trying to save money by limiting themselves in driving personal vehicles.
Overall, over the past 10 months, gasoline sales at gas stations fell by 15%, and diesel – by 5%. The relatively small drop in diesel demand can be linked to the growth in sales of diesel cars, the demand for which has increased several times compared to 2013.
