This is necessary so that drivers can independently check whether they have any fines for traffic violations.

“It is planned that each specific driver will be able to view data only about themselves – they will not have the opportunity to see the mistakes of all other Ukrainian motorists,” noted the First Deputy Head of the Department of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Major General of Militia Serhiy Budnyk, and added: “How this will be implemented is not yet clear.”

Let us add that to do this, you simply need to hire a couple of programmers and set them the task. Why such simple actions are constantly postponed indefinitely is unclear. But as specialists from some IT companies suggest, this may be related to the possibility of giving a chance to win a tender to the right structure in order to improve the financial situation of interested parties.

We, in turn, note that opening the database to be able to obtain information about oneself is an urgent need. After all, a driver often may not even suspect that they have outstanding fine obligations. There are examples where vehicle owners suffered due to ignorance. Let us remind you that, by decision of the executive service of the State Automobile Inspectorate, a vehicle may be temporarily detained. The reason for such a decision is the accumulation of unpaid fines in the database.
