Acting Head of the Antimonopoly Committee Mykola Barash believes that on average prices are higher by 1 hryvnia. For this reason, even taking into account inflation and possible shortage, in August gas station networks should at least keep prices at the current level.

“Recently, proposals and threats have been voiced that prices will be raised in August, and certain amounts are being mentioned. We see that today the price is inflated more than the price increase that is being announced,” Barash stated.

In turn, market operators act in their own way. Thus, over August 6-7, the price of A-92 gasoline increased by 5-25 kopecks (depending on the region and gas station network), and the most popular A-95 rose by 5-15 kopecks per day. As for diesel, the price of heavy fuel did not increase.

Let us remind you that fuel market experts and oil traders themselves say that in the second half of August, 1 liter of gasoline may rise by 0.60-0.90 UAH.
