Excessive rise in water levels in rivers has temporarily closed vehicle traffic on many road sections in Lviv and Chernivtsi regions.

In Chernivtsi region, due to the rise in the water level of the Prut River, the approaches to the temporary technological bridge on the road T-26-06 Novoselytsia-Marshyntsi-Hertsa-Hlyboka were flooded. On the right bank, the approaches to the bridge were destroyed.

Currently, it is impossible to resolve issues with transport communication, as restoration work on the passage is not possible. Only after the water level in the river fully decreases can repair work begin.

Traffic on roads is also blocked in Lviv region. On the highway N-13 Lviv-Sambir-Uzhhorod, water from the Stryazh River overflowed across the roadway. Vehicle traffic has been suspended. For motorists who got into trouble, a detour is provided via the roads Luky-Ostriv, Chernykhiv-Maksymovychi, Mistkovychi-Babyno.
