As part of the survey, agency specialists interviewed 84,165 owners of 2022 model year vehicles. Drivers were asked to share their impressions of the innovations in their cars after three months of use.
Researchers divided all automotive innovations into four groups: comfort, automation, environmental friendliness, and multimedia systems. Based on user feedback, a rating of innovativeness of various manufacturers was compiled.
As J.D. Power data shows, Genesis took the lead in the overall indicator and achieved the best result among luxury brands with a rating of 643 points. In the premium category, Cadillac came second (584 points), and Mercedes-Benz third (539). According to J.D. Power, Honda and Mazda showed the weakest positions in terms of technological level.
Among budget brands, Hyundai demonstrated the highest indicator, scoring 534 points. KIA took second place with a result of 495 points. The third position in this segment was shared by three brands at once: Buick, GMC, and Subaru, each receiving 482 points.
