Honda's autopilot is the world's first system that does not require the driver to touch the steering wheel with their hands. That is, it completely takes over control of the car, although in difficult situations it may still ask the driver to intervene or will itself stop the car on the roadside.

The Honda Legend is capable of moving in autonomous mode at speeds up to 50 km/h, and can not only accelerate and brake, but also turn and independently change lanes.
Traffic Jam Pilot includes two cameras, a set of radars and lidars. In addition, the system works in tandem with satellite navigation – it receives information about the route, traffic jams, or road works.
During testing, Honda Legend prototypes with autopilot covered 1.3 million km, and a simulation of 10 million situations that could arise while driving was conducted.
Interestingly, using a level 3 autopilot on public roads required special permission from the Japanese government. By the way, Honda informs other road users about the autonomous mode with special blue LED signaling.
For now, only a hundred Honda Legends with autopilot will be produced. The cars will not go on open sale but will be offered under leasing.
