Bosch company presented its new development – an electric powertrain e-axle, which can be easily adapted to any platform.
The Bosch e-axle is a module that combines an electric motor, all power components, and the transmission in a single housing.
According to the creators, the universal unit just needs to be connected to the vehicle via several connectors, and then the parameters required for a specific model can be configured. At the same time, depending on the settings, the module can deliver from 70 to 400 hp.
The Germans are ready to start mass production of the e-axle powertrain in 2019.
