Nowadays, the amounts for gas or electricity consumption sometimes exceed the costs of fuel for a car. And here BOSCH specialists, as in the automotive sector, are at the forefront of manufacturers of products using innovative technologies. You have probably heard about "smart home" systems? Yes, it is indeed expensive, but only at the installation stage, since during the period of operation the system helps to save significantly. How about, for example, a gas heating boiler that can not only track the temperature indoors and outdoors with the help of sensors, but also go online to find out the weather for tomorrow and plan its work in advance? But still, how are things going for BOSCH in our country? To find out, we went to a press conference dedicated to the results of Robert Bosch's work in the region that covers all CIS countries. The event itself took place in the Russian capital, in the building of the company's new central office.
The turnover of the Bosch Group of Companies in this region in the 2014 financial year amounted to 774 million euros. The overall business growth, expressed in local currencies, reached the planned level of 10%. At the same time, Ukraine accounted for 44 million euros. The figure could have been higher, but political nuances took their toll.
Despite this, at the press conference in Moscow, member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH Uwe Raschke stated: "The region is of particular strategic importance to Bosch, and we are confident in its long-term prospects. In 2014, we managed to increase our share in several markets at once, despite the decline in demand and the overall slowdown in economic growth." As Mr. Raschke further noted: "Given the economic situation, it is important to focus on localization of production and development, optimization of logistics and improvement of service quality. According to the company's forecast, the recession in the economy and the unstable political situation will affect Bosch's business. This year, the slowdown in business activity will continue in Russia. This also has a certain impact on our business," - it is not difficult to guess that Uwe Raschke also means Ukraine.
But fans and partners of the company should not worry too much about the decline in business activity, since Robert Bosch GmbH is a company that views the CIS market from the point of view of a long-term perspective.
