The new suspension debuted on the Advanced Comfort concept car, built on the Cactus platform. The company claims that driving a car with such a chassis is comparable to flying on a magic carpet.

The key differences of Advanced Comfort from hydropneumatics lie in two hydraulic stops in classic twin-tube shock absorbers. This design allows the suspension to be softened, making it especially comfortable on poor roads.

It is also worth noting that the Citroen prototype has an unusual body. To be more precise, an unusual way of attaching panels – they are connected with an adhesive substance, and not by welding. This made it possible to reduce the level of vibrations and increase the rigidity of the Cactus body by 20%.

According to the French, the Advanced Comfort suspension will eventually appear not only on premium models, but even on city hatchbacks.
