Also, according to the deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, changes have been made at 12 sections where TruCam radars are used. They are operated in parallel with automatic photo and video recording cameras.
All sections where patrols with TruCam are conducted were selected after an analysis of accident rates. Moreover, statistics of accidents caused by speeding were taken into account. By the way, in total, 117 such radars are already used in Ukraine at 309 road sections.
Traditionally, the Patrol Police does not keep the location of TruCam crews a secret. All sections are marked on the map, and appropriate signs are installed on the road. In addition, patrol vehicles must have their flashing beacons turned on.
