«Ukravtodor» failed to find investors willing to invest in the construction of the first toll road in Ukraine. Members of the competitive interdepartmental commission came to a unanimous conclusion that «the competitive bids of both existing applicants (the company Ukrainian Transport Highways and the French firm Bouygues) for participation in the first concession project in Ukraine for the construction of the first concession road Lviv - Krakovets do not meet the conditions of the concession competition, which provides for the construction and operation of the new Lviv-Krakovets highway, and do not meet the terms of the competition».

As the press service of «Ukravtodor» reports, when reviewing the applications, the commission found that neither company is able to ensure financing of the construction works of the concession object either from its own or from attracted funds, as provided by the terms of the concession competition.

According to Liliya Gorbatyuk, head of the international cooperation and investments department of «Ukravtodor», it is necessary to additionally analyze and find a compromise solution for financing the project so that the conditions are acceptable for both investors and the state.
