Such bollards will be installed in three places on the historic street. As reported by the chairman of the Podil District State Administration, Valentyn Mondriievskyi, the traffic restriction system will allow blocking all entrances and exits to Andriivskyi Descent so that cars do not drive along it at high speed.
At the same time, car owners living on the descent, as well as drivers of special vehicles (fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, and utility vehicles) will be able to pass unhindered – they will be able to use special devices that activate and deactivate the bollards. Initially, the traffic restrictors will operate in test mode, and then, as expected, they will be launched on a permanent basis.
