Due to worsening weather conditions, the State Automobile Inspectorate of Ukraine urges drivers to be cautious and not to stand aside if someone needs help.
The official statement from the press service of the agency reads: "Choose a safe speed mode and keep your distance, do not forget about parking rules to avoid obstructing snow removal equipment. Be especially vigilant on bridges and overpasses, and in poor visibility turn on low beam or fog lights. If on the road you notice that someone is stuck or in a difficult situation due to snow, report it to traffic police officers or rescue services. Do not pass by — tomorrow you may need help yourself."
In addition, the inspectorate advises refraining from trips in personal cars unless absolutely necessary and using the metro.
Due to heavy snowfall, it is worth familiarizing yourself in advance with the list of useful items for the winter period that will help you get out of snow captivity and cope with icy roads.
