The State Traffic Inspectorate decided that in winter, increasing speed limits is dangerous. For this reason, where today you can still drive at a speed of 80 km/h, in just a week you will have to move no faster than 60 km/h. Although, in fact, you can also drive 80 kilometers per hour (+20 “free” km/h).
It should be noted that the increase in the limit on certain sections of roads was introduced this spring. Until April 1, the innovation will not be in effect, but on “April Fools' Day” it will work again.
“In winter, this is unacceptable, since difficult weather conditions will create problems instead of comfort. Therefore, in winter, road signs are dismantled, and in spring they will return to their places,” the State Traffic Inspectorate Department noted.
