Due to military actions in Donbas, 962 km of roads have been damaged. As of October 1, 2014, about 30 bridges and overpasses also require reconstruction.
Specialists of the department have calculated that approximately 2 billion hryvnias will be needed to restore the road infrastructure. However, this amount may increase, as the list of damaged sections is almost daily updated. At the same time, in the liberated territories this list is shrinking thanks to the work of repair crews.
In addition, more than 4,500 residential buildings have been destroyed in Donbas to date.
