The reason may be a dedicated lane for buses and trolleybuses, which will be launched already at the beginning of autumn. The city administration expects that this will speed up trips for residents of Troieshchyna and adjacent neighborhoods to metro stations.
On paper, everything looks logical, but in reality, problems are possible — drivers of passenger cars, especially during morning rush hours, will likely drive onto the dedicated lane. The mayor's office admits this and therefore plans to involve volunteers in monitoring: they will record violators on cameras and thus instill discipline. Whether such a scheme will work is a big question.
