Enthusiasts from the programmer group "BVBLOGIC" have developed and launched an online road quality assessment map DOROGY.NET. The project is non-commercial, and all interested motorists and simply concerned citizens of Ukraine can join it.

One of the company's employees, planning a trip to another region of Ukraine, faced the problem of choosing the optimal route. The fact is that getting objective information about the quality and safety of a particular road is quite difficult, because driver ratings are subjective. Someone drove an SUV and the road quality suited them quite well. And someone drove one of the "people's" sedans and counted potholes by the knocking of the suspension. As a result, there are two different opinions about the same road. This is how the idea of an online service that would help get objective information arose.

Any driver can rate the quality of the road surface of a particular road section on a 5-point scale or report ongoing road works there. The average score of drivers' ratings will help get more or less objective (and fresh) data on the condition of roads when choosing a travel route. You can rate and view rating results on the project website or in a mobile application (which, however, is still under development).

You can learn how to assess road quality from the training video:

Let us remind you that earlier Autoportal wrote that signs appeared in Kyiv allowing you to drive at 80 km/h.
