As Autoportal has already written, the Department of Traffic Police, as part of an experiment, on some road sections where road conditions allow, proposes to raise the speed limit to 80 km/h.

And now, to the joy of most motorists, the experiment has moved into the stage of practical application. On March 31, "80" signs appeared in Kyiv.

However, it should not be forgotten that the Traffic Police plans to eliminate the 20 km/h gap of non-fined speeding, so in this case, on these sections, raising the speed limit, as they say, will not affect speed.

Let us remind you of the list of roads where, in addition to the mentioned highways, it is also planned to increase the speed limit:

- Saperno-Slobodska Street (from Hrinchenko Street to the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge);
- Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge; - Bazhana Avenue;
- Obolonskyi Avenue (from Bohatyrska to Marshala Malynovskoho);
- Highway R-69 (from Ozerne Street to the border of Kyiv);
- Vatutina Avenue (from Moskovskyi Bridge to Kerch Square);
- Mіska (City) Street (from Stetsenka Street to Hostomelske Highway);
- Highway T-1039 (from Hostomelske Highway to Minskyi Avenue).
