By 2025, it is planned to significantly expand the ring road by building two crossings over the Dnipro, which will reduce the load on Shevchenko Square and the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge. An additional route towards Boryspil will be part of the 'Air Express' project. The first crossing will connect the ring road with the Kharkiv direction, precisely at the point where the bypass currently heads towards Stolychne Highway.
Extending the bypass beyond Shevchenko Square, as well as the second, northern crossing over the Dnipro, will help ease traffic on the Moskovskyi (Moscow) Bridge and simplify access from Obolon and Vyshhorod to the Great Ring Road.

Construction of two underground tunnels is also planned. One will run from the Darnytskyi Bridge to Saperno-Slobidska Street, and the second, relieving Podil, will connect Chornovola Street with the new Podilskyi Bridge.
In addition, new transport interchanges will appear at International, Kerch, and Pryvokzalna (Darnytsia) squares, not to mention Poshtova Square, Shuliavka, and Leningradska Square. Most of these interchanges will be built on two levels.
The metro will be extended towards Troieshchyna and Vynohradar, which will require the creation of two new lines: the Podilsko-Vyhurivska (to Troieshchyna) and the Vyshhorodsko-Darnytska (to Vynohradar).
The construction of a new full-fledged bypass highway, which will carry transit traffic, will only be possible if an investor appears who is ready to finance such a project.
