Yes, despite the situation in the country, in May the book publishing house “Mystetstvo” released a unique album – “Retro Cars on the Streets of Kyiv”. Its author, a veteran of Ukrainian automotive journalism, Leonid Gogolev, published about 150 unique photos taken by him on the streets of the capital in the 1950s-1960s.

In particular, the book features and describes:
·the amphibious version of the famous American SUV Willys (only 12.8 thousand such amphibians were produced), of which up to 3.5 thousand were delivered to the USSR under Lend-Lease.
·Tatra 87 of the 1938 model year and the rarest pre-war Opel models

·The luxurious Maybach SW38. Only 520 units of this model were produced from 1936 to 1939.
·The representative Mercedes-Benz 770, which was used by the top leadership of Germany and several other countries. Only 88 units of these cars were produced. The Kyiv one, according to some data, belonged to the patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
