The story is about cars that have been sitting idle for a long time at the central impound lot near Dubec. Usually, if the owner does not come forward within three years, such vehicles are sold at auction or sent for recycling. However, in this case, the situation is different: volunteers restore these cars, process the necessary paperwork, and hand them over for the needs of the front — as medical evacuation vehicles or off-road buggies.

This time, six passenger cars and two minibuses will leave Dubec. And this is just the start: Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda noted that the city is already preparing the next batch of vehicles for Ukrainian volunteers.

The Neohnutí initiative searches for abandoned vehicles across the entire territory of the Czech Republic — even cars that have not been started for a long time can get a second chance. A chance to turn not just into a means of transportation, but into a true hero on wheels.
