The agency reported that the fire most likely originated in the heat exchanger, and no one was injured. However, footage has appeared online showing an object resembling a drone hitting the structure before the fire broke out.
“At 09:25 we received a report of a fire at the AVT-1 unit (heat exchanger) of the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant in the Krasnosulinsky district, A-270 highway, 882nd kilometer. Upon arrival of the first rescue unit, a fire was recorded over an area of 50 square meters at AVT-1 (heat exchanger). There are no dead or injured,” the statement on the website of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
