In the Sea of Azov, water temperatures near the coast are already above 26 °C. The Black Sea will warm up less, with water temperatures near the coast up to 23.7 °C.
In the Carpathians this week, daytime air temperatures will range from a moderate 24 °C in Vorokhta to a hot 34 °C in Uzhhorod.
July 7 marks one of the most famous summer holidays – Ivan Kupala. Kupailo is a Slavic mythological character, the god of the summer sun and patron of love. A similar holiday associated with midsummer exists among Poles - sobotka, among Slovenes - kresu den (fire day), among Bulgarians – Yanovden. The pagan essence of the holiday and its mysticism provided food for many works, the most famous of which are: "The Eve of Ivan Kupala" by Nikolai Gogol and "Kupala in Volyn" by Lesya Ukrainka.
Black Sea resorts of Ukraine
From Thursday, hot, mostly clear weather is expected on the Black Sea coast; according to the Sinoptik.ua forecast, the air will warm up to 31 °C. The wind will be northerly, northeasterly, light to moderate.
In Odesa, rain may still pass on Wednesday, with daytime air temperatures up to 25 °C. From Thursday, the thermometer will climb, reaching 31 °C by Sunday during the day and 21 °C at night. The sea water temperature off the coast of Odesa is 21.7 °C.
In Zatoka, light rain may pass on Wednesday, but from Thursday until the end of the week it will be dry, clear, and hot at 28… 31 °C, with a sea water temperature of 23.5 °C.
In Zaliznyi Port, on Wednesday and Thursday it will be 20 °C at night and 26 °C during the day, with possible rain and a northerly wind up to 7 m/s. From Friday it will become hot, with the sun heating the air to 30 °C.
Resorts of the Sea of Azov
On Wednesday, a low-pressure area may finally water the resorts of the Sea of Azov with rain. But from Thursday, an anticyclone will give vacationers sunny weather with temperatures up to 31 °C. The wind will blow from the east, northeast, from 4 m/s to 7 m/s.
In Berdiansk on July 7 it will be cloudy, 26 °C, atmospheric pressure 755 mm Hg, with a chance of rain. On July 8-11 it will be sunny, up to 31 °C, atmospheric pressure 763 mm Hg. The sea is very warm at 25.6 °C.
In Henichesk on Wednesday and Thursday it will be cloudy, up to 28 °C, with possible brief showers in places; from Friday it will be clear, up to 31 °C, and the sea will warm up to 26.4 °C.
Carpathian resorts
On July 7-8, air temperatures will rise to 31 °C, and from June 9 a decrease of a few degrees is expected. It will be mostly dry and sunny.
Yaremche is suitable for vacationers who do not like heat. Here, from Tuesday to Sunday, there will be moderate warmth of 22… 24 °C during the day and 13… 14 °C at night. At the end of the week, light rain may pass in places.
In Kosyno, until Sunday it will be hot, 31 °C, with a clear sky and a light southerly wind. On Sunday, there will be variable cloudiness, 28 °C, and light rain may pass.
Trostianets on July 7-9 will be clear, 27… 29 °C. On the weekend, July 10-11, air temperatures will rise to 31 °C, but cloudiness will appear, and light rain is possible.
