Used items are collected at OKKO gas stations in special containers by customers and simply caring people. Clothing, bedding, shoes - all these items can be dropped off at 30 gas station complexes in 7 cities - Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Mariupol, and Zaporizhzhia. This year, the company plans to increase the number of containers at gas stations. Addresses of currently operating ones can be found here.
Volunteers and benefactors of organizations involved in the projects pick up collected items from gas stations, sort them, and distribute them among those who need them most. Currently, the OKKO network is implementing a charitable initiative together with public organizations «Emaüs-Oselia», «Ukraine Without Borders», «Good Samaritan», and «We Help».
«Each of us may have items we no longer use. Why store or throw them away if they can still serve people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances? That's exactly why we installed containers at gas stations. Thanks to this, every customer, every employee of our company can become a benefactor and help other people,» says Yaroslava Polyakova, Head of Corporate Communications Department at OKKO. «The amount of items collected this way is constantly increasing, and this means we are doing good for more and more people».
