So, the best-selling car model in the world for 2020 is still the Toyota Corolla. It is also the only car that found more than a million buyers – 1,134,262 to be exact.

The Toyota RAV4 (971,516 cars) rose to second place, and it is the most popular crossover in the world. Accordingly, the Ford F-Series pickup (968,179 units) was pushed to third position. The top five also included two Honda models – CR-V (705,651 cars) and Civic (697,945 units).

9. Toyota Camry – 592,648 (-13.2%);

10. Nissan Sylphy – 544,376 (+14.4%).

Also named the TOP-10 leaders of the automotive industry for 2020, and here in the top three – no changes:

1. Volkswagen Group – 9.31 million cars sold (-11.6% compared to 2019);

2. Toyota Group – 8.9 million (-12%);

3. Renault-Nissan Alliance – 7.95 million (-20.5%);

4. Hyundai-Kia – 6.52 million (-10.4%);

5. General Motors – 6.26 million (-13.2%);

6. Honda Motor – 4.5 million (-14.1%);

7. Ford Motor – 4.15 million (-18.3%);

8. Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles – 3.9 million (-16.8%);

9. PSA Group – 2.91 million (-22%);

10. Daimler – 2.55 million (12.2%).

It should be noted that quite recently Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group completed their merger into the Stellantis concern.
