FAW X40 is the second model (after FAW B30) of the brand, developed on the new platform of the automaker. The world premiere of the model took place at the auto show in Guangzhou in autumn 2016, and serial production started a year later.
The new car features excellent technical characteristics for its class combined with an affordable price. The main target audience is urban residents who prefer an active lifestyle. Thanks to its dimensions (L4310xW1780xH1680), excellent interior ergonomics, and economical engine, the car is very convenient both for moving around in a metropolis and for traveling.
FAW X40 has a modern appearance characterized by correct proportions and expressive body lines. The impression is enhanced by a hexagonal radiator grille with chrome crossbars, combining LED headlights, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels.
Due to the combination of a high-strength body, ABS+EBD systems, an economical and reliable engine with an idle start-stop system, and a 6-speed manual transmission, FAW X40 significantly surpasses its classmates in safety and driving comfort.
FAW X40 has an independent suspension with McPherson struts in the front and a torsion beam with a semi-independent rear suspension in the back. This increases the stability of the car and allows for a smooth ride and stable handling. Also, the car is equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels and electric power steering.
The new model is equipped with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine. The engine power is 109 hp at 5500 rpm, maximum torque is 155 Nm at 3600 rpm.
In Ukraine, the car will be presented in the Comfort trim, which includes such options as: two front airbags, daytime running lights, central locking, immobilizer, air conditioning, onboard computer, electric windows, steering wheel with audio controls, parking sensors with rear camera, rain sensor, tire pressure monitoring system, heated mirrors and windshield, multimedia system with an eight-inch screen, roof rails.
