OKKO will expand its own network of charging stations together with TOKA, one of the leading Ukrainian software developers and operators of electric charging devices.
“It was our network that in 2012 was the first in Ukraine to equip a gas station with a charging point for electric vehicles. Currently, we have 41 such devices located in 11 regions, and most of them are at complexes along highways,” noted the company's marketing director Vasyl Dmytriv. “Sales of electric cars in Ukraine in 2018 more than doubled compared to the previous year. This trend is likely to continue and even strengthen, especially given the extension of the preferential import regime for such cars. Therefore, our decision is logical — to make charging services available at most of our gas stations.”
Over the next two years, OKKO gas stations plan to install both standard three-phase chargers from 22 kW and high-speed fast chargers that can replenish 80% of the battery charge of a Nissan Leaf* electric vehicle in just 20 minutes. This reserve will be enough for about 100 km of travel, after which the driver can recharge at the next gas station in the network.
Using a mobile application, electric vehicle drivers will be able to monitor the status of each charger in real time: whether it is free, whether maintenance is being performed, and also find out its power.
