The new ambulance has a declaration of conformity for medical devices of type A1, A2 (DSTU 7032) and meets the requirements of the technical regulation on medical devices approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 02.10.2013 No. 753.
The OPEL Movano chosen as the base for the ambulance was not selected by chance. The OPEL Movano van is one of the European leaders in the commercial vehicle segment. These vehicles are economical to operate and have some of the richest safety and comfort options among competitors. In addition, thanks to one of the most affordable list prices for the base vehicle on the market, the cost of the finished ambulance will be one of the most affordable among the offered analogues.
The new ambulance based on the OPEL Movano is equipped with all the elements necessary to provide assistance in difficult conditions: a device designed for artificial lung ventilation with the possibility of oxygen supply, masks, breathing tubes for people of different ages and an oxygen reservoir; an oxygen inhaler; a mount for an infusion system, a manual portable fluid suction device, a small resuscitation kit, stretchers, a fire extinguisher, etc. Suppliers of medical equipment for the production of ambulances are leading Ukrainian importing and manufacturing companies. The list of medical equipment configuration can be changed according to the individual needs of customers.
The OPEL Movano has an economical and reliable Euro-5 turbodiesel engine with 125 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission. The converted vehicle has a comfortable interior with air conditioning, where medical staff can be conveniently located for work and movement. In addition, the medical vehicle is equipped with an on-board computer, an ABS safety system (emergency braking assistance system), an ESP + HILL START ASSIST stability control system, and driver and passenger airbags.
Safety and comfort of operation are also ensured by: power steering, engine adaptation for starting in cold climates, adaptation to poor road conditions, 4-speed ventilation and air recirculation mode, cruise control with speed limiter, power windows, heated rear-view mirrors, rear parking sensors, fog lights, driver's seat with armrest and adjustment options, as well as a number of other options.
The conversion of the vehicle into an ambulance was carried out by the enterprise "Avto-Holding", which produces specialized cargo and passenger vehicles, dump trucks and vans. The products of this enterprise are certified and meet the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine, and the quality management system meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2009 standard.
The OPEL Movano has previously been chosen by a number of organizations as the main vehicle for operation. For example, in 2017, the State Service for Transport Safety ("Uktransbezpeka") purchased 78 mobile dimension-weight complexes based on the OPEL Movano.
