The coupe received a lighter construction, improved aerodynamics, and a number of design changes.
The new aerodynamic body kit made of composite materials includes a different front splitter, redesigned air intakes, other side skirts and a rear diffuser, as well as a large fixed rear wing. After the modifications, at a speed of 310 km/h, 250 kg of downforce is generated — this is 100 kg more than in the standard version.
In addition, the supercar received a refined suspension with adjustable shock absorbers, ceramic front brakes with titanium calipers, and new lightweight wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires.
The powertrain remained the same. The Audi R8 V10 plus uses a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 producing 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque. The engine sound has become louder thanks to a new exhaust system.
Only 44 examples of the Audi R8 V10 plus Performance Parts will be produced. In the UK, the price of the new model will be 176,560 pounds sterling.
